"The attitude of gratitude is the highest Yoga"

About Us
Bodhi Yoga School was born from the idea of three friends who met when they were pursuing their Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine. The idea of healing by restoring balance between body and mind took them to the Capital of Yoga in Rishikesh, India to learn the philosophy of yoga first hand at its birthplace in the foothills of the Himalayas. Upon returning, the only desire was to share all that knowledge with those who wanted to receive it, it was then that Bodhi Yoga School was born in 2016. From its beginnings, the philosophy of Bodhi Yoga has always been clear, sharing the ancient philosophy of yoga, to promote wellness and prevention. Sharing tools that help restore physical, mental and spiritual health through the proper teachings on which yoga is based. Without ever losing sight of the origins and the true meaning of union, and universal consciousness. In Bodhi Yoga it is studied through the main expositor of the yoga philosophy that was Patanjali, he describes different methods to increase the feeling of calm and stillness in our minds. Furthermore, yoga as a practice and a way of life was described in the Bhagavad Gita which is a discussion between a student and a teacher. Both writings register yoga as a lifestyle and the purpose of Bodhi Yoga is to make those ancient teachings accessible to anyone who wants them. The Bodhi Yoga School wants to be able to offer tools that bring us closer to our life purpose, and to live in a state of harmony between the microcosm as individual beings and the universal macrocosm of which we are all part. Its most important philosophy is the expansion of love, the creation of a state of comparison, and the opening of the heart and open mind to tolerance, acceptance and love in all its forms.
Teachers
Ismayra Santiago
Ismayra Santiago is a doctor in Naturopathic Medicine and Yoga Instructor since 2016 after going to India for first time to complete her 200hr yoga teacher training. Soon after coming back from such life changing experience she decided to share all that knowledge with others and that’s when Bodhi Yoga School was born.
Last year, in September 2019, she once again returned to India to continue studies in yoga, thus completing another 300-hour training, which not only allowed her to grow more as a yoga instructor but as a person. Allowing her to explore more closely her personal yoga practice both physically, mentally and spiritually, as well as having the opportunity to study more deeply the texts that detail this ancient philosophy.
Now with more experience and understanding of this philosophy she is ready and very happy to be able to share the teachings of yoga with others that can become teacher as well. Not only in her natal Puerto Rico but around the world, along with a great teacher she connected with in her last visit to India, Bhavini Sharma to whom is very grateful for being a teacher and a dear friend.
Bhavini Sharma
Bhavini’s lifestyle, growing up in India, has always been sustained by asana and meditation practices. She, however, made a regular practice in 2012 and since then she has studied with various teachers in India and Thailand.
She now offers yoga teacher trainings, yoga retreats, group classes & private sessions. With more than 1000 hours of training behind her in last 8 years she has deepened her practice and utilized her time to train beginners and coach teachers. She blends her teachings to create sessions that will help you find connection with your body, mind & breath. Always a student of life and yoga, Bhavini's intention is to spread the wisdom of yoga scriptures & practices as much as possible.
When not teaching or practicing yoga, Bhavini practices dancing, plans travels and read books. She loves spending time with family & learning new things. In her own words, she is deeply grateful to all her teachers who have empowered her to teach and wants to pass on the knowledge further.
